Our First Booking at The Yard Rock 🎉

We did it! Dance Ups secured our first official booking at The Yard Rock located at The Bird Lounge venue in Palmers Green, and it was an incredible experience.

From the moment we arrived, the energy was right. The space was full of good music, community spirit, and people ready to move and we came ready to bring the Dance Ups flavour.

One of the biggest highlights? We got to perform in costumes provided by Unity Carnival Band, and the colours, detail, and Caribbean pride in every piece made us feel bold and confident on stage. Huge thanks to Unity for dressing us in true carnival style it made the whole experience even more powerful.

This booking wasn’t just about performance. It was about representation, visibility, and stepping into the wider dance and carnival scene as a team with a purpose. Seeing the reactions from the crowd, feeling that support, and being part of the night showed us how far we’ve come and where we’re heading next.
