INFORMATION..

The *Dance Ups* workshop is a dynamic, inclusive dance program designed to engage young people from the local community, on Thursdays 6pm - 7:30pm, regardless of their previous dance experience. The workshop offers a safe and supportive space where participants can explore creative movement, develop new skills, and build confidence through dance. Led by enthusiastic dancers, the sessions cover a variety of dance styles such as dancehall, Soca, hip-hop, and street dance, tailored to the interests and abilities of the participants.

In addition to dance instruction, participants will learn essential skills in music selection and soundtrack creation for their final performance. They will also gain hands-on experience in basic video editing, enhancing their recorded dance performances. These additional skills help them appreciate the broader scope of performing arts and technical production.

Stage Rehearsal Experience:

At the end of the workshop session, participants will take part in a stage rehearsal, where they will not only showcase their dance routines but also apply their chosen music mix. The rehearsal simulates a professional stage environment, including lighting, sound, and performance space, providing a comprehensive experience that brings together their dance, music, and technical skills. This process prepares them to overcome stage fright, collaborate with peers, and engage with the world of live performance.
